Super shoppers

An episode of the TLC series "Extreme Couponing" filmed in Sikeston Thursday at the Food Giant on Main Street. Erin Sanders, left, and Lorie Aud of Poplar Bluff displayed their skills in using coupons ending the day with some 10 shopping carts filled to the brim with items they gathered on their shopping trip. Pictured filming the two is Jeff Alberts. Harlan Elfrink, store manager, said the filming created a fun atmosphere for customers and employees. "For a smaller store to have a cable television network come in is kind of exciting," said Elfrink, who added the women had picked the Sikeston store for their shopping because they liked the sales it offered and wanted to take advantage of them. The episode will air in the new season beginning in June.
