DEXTER -- Kenter John Locks, 70, died Feb. 11, 2012, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Sept. 28, 1941, in Ogden, Utah, to Ken Locks of Grand Rapids, Minn., and the late Mary Carter Petite, he was a U.S. Army veteran, the owner of Ken's Pilot Car business and a member of the Rivers of Life Church.

On March 13, 2008, at Bloomfield, he married Burladean Hughes who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife and father he is survived by: one son, Victor Locks of Asheboro, N.C.; one daughter, Monica Luffman of Asheboro; one sister, Karen Beck of Tacoma, Wash.; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Phyllis McGrady.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with the Rev. Jeff Clark officiating.

The Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
