GORDONVILLE -- William "Bill" Estes, 74, formerly of Chaffee, died Feb. 12, 2012, at his home.
Born Jan. 23, 1938, in Delta, to the late Thomas Carl and Tessie Pauline Copman Estes, he was a retired process safety engineer at Proctor and Gamble Paper Products in Cape Girardeau. He attended The Church of God in Chaffee and was a member of the Chaffee Elks Lodge No. 1810.
On May 29, 1959, he married Emma Duba who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Joyce Estes and William "Bill" Estes Jr. of Gordonville; one brother, Carl Estes of Chaffee; one sister, Shirley Hopper of Morley; one half sister, Hazel Reams of Chaffee; and one granddaughter.
He was also preceded in death by one half sister, Bernice Bess.
Visitation is scheduled at 4 p.m. Wednesday, with an Elks service at 6:30 p.m., at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Services will be held at 11a.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Tom Morris officiating.
Burial will follow at the Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
