SIKESTON -- Shirley Sue Ward, 76, died Feb. 16, 2012, at the home of her granddaughter in Sikeston.
She was born Sept. 6, 1935, in Sikeston, daughter of the late William and Dorothy Lucille Lands Chadd.
On July 6, 1957, she married Marvin Ward who preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 2010.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include: two daughters and one son-in-law, Teresa and Ronnie Templeton and Phyllis Ward all of Sikeston; two stepdaughters, Beverly Ward of Poplar Bluff and Janice Zdimal of Sanibel Island, Fla.; one brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Gisela Chadd of Clarksville, Tenn.; four grandchildren and their spouses, Nicole and Rodney Crosier, Becki and Rich Vinson and Emily Sadler all of Sikeston and Colleen Sadler of Arnold; and five great-grandchildren, nine stepgrandchildren and 18 step-great- grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with her nephew, the Rev. Larry Ward, pastor of Fegus General Baptist Church, officiating.
Pallbearers will be: Rodney Crosier, Craig Templeton, Rich Vinson, Mike Collier, Ronnie Templeton, Hunter Kennedy and Bill Davis.
Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
