SIKESTON -- The Sikeston Depot's latest art show features pieces sure to go down in history as these budding artists' early work.

The Sikeston Elementary School Art Show opened Friday, according to Mike Marsh, director of the Sikeston Depot.

"Just in the first day of the show, our visitation was up at least eight times our normal number of visitors," Marsh said. "So far, it's off to a real good start."

The art show, which will remain on display until April 27, includes 122 pieces from art students at the Christian Academy, St. Francis Xavier, Southeast Elementary, Lee Hunter Elementary and Matthews Elementary in Sikeston.
