DEXTER -- Betty Jane Doerschlen, 83, died March 31, 2012, at her home.
Born Oct. 31, 1928, in Niles, Mich., to the late John and Elsie Fischer, she was a homemaker and had lived in Dexter for 31 years.
On April 11, 1955, in Lordsburg, N.M., she married Eddy J. Doerschlen, and he survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Martin Leon III of Scottsdale, Ariz.; two daughters, Linda Marie Arathoon of Dexter and Laurie Ann Doerschlen-Williams of Honolulu; one sister, Johnetth Morles of Puerto Rico; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Bettina Doerschlen; a daughter, Deborah Jane Doerschlen; and one sister, Jeanette Morles.
Private family funeral and graveside services were conducted Tuesday with the Rev. Steve Easterwood of Dexter officiating.
Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield was in charge of all arrangements.
