Ruth Carroll

CHAFFEE -- Ruth Bernice Nations Carroll, 93, died April 4, 2012, at the Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Jan. 19, 1919, in Morley, to the late Braxton Edward and Minnie Bell Stanley Nations, she was a member of Broadway Methodist Church in Scott City. She graduated from Morley High School and was a member of the Chaffee V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 3127.

On Oct. 12, 1946, in Mayfield, Ky., she married Leonard N. Carroll who preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 2003.

She was also preceded in death by eight brothers and one sister.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Valerie Carroll of Chaffee; one daughter, Judi Coleman of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Sherma Brashear of Oran; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled after 4 p.m. Sunday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday.

Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery in New Hamburg.
