DEXTER -- Eloise LaRue, 96, died April 9, 2012, at her home in Dexter.

Born Jan. 19, 1916, in Frisco, daughter of the late Charles LaRue and Anna Barker LaRue, she was a former receptionist at the YMCA in Pontiac, Mich., former waitress at the Hickory Log Restaurant in Dexter and attended the Second General Baptist Church in Dexter.

Survivors include: two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles "Bud" and Geneva LaRue Jr. of Sikeston and Kenneth and Shirley LaRue of Dexter; and one sister, Opal Coffey of Dexter.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Glenn LaRue, Virgil LaRue, Leo LaRue and Chester LaRue; and two sisters, Beulah Arnold and JoAnne Whitledge.

Visitation is from 11:30 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Thursday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Phil Warren and the Rev. Josh Carpenter officiating.

Burial will follow in the Essex Cemetery.
