Charleston DPS reports a deadly shooting

CHARLESTON - An investigation is under way into a fatal shooting.

Charleston Public Safety Director Robert E. Hearnes said his officers were called to 706 Grand Ave. at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday to investigate a shooting. At the scene they found the victim, Gregory Gary, 27, of Tacoma, Wash.

According to Hearnes, Gary was pronounced dead at the scene.
