Clara Dohogne

CHAFFEE -- Clara M. Dohogne, 97, died April 10, 2012, at her home.

Born Jan. 4, 1915, in Commerce, to the late Otto and Elizabeth LeDure Vetter, she was a retired sales clerk and bookkeeper for Dame Lumber Company in Chaffee. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and the Daughters of St. Ambrose.

On Nov. 21, 1946, she married August J. Dohogne who preceded her in death on July 7, 1998.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Vetter, two sisters, Alma Vetter and Bertha Dumey, and a son-in-law, Matthew Peters.

She is survived by: two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Maggie Peters of Cape Girardeau and Claret and John Eftink of Chaffee; a sister, Louise Seiler of Benton; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled at 4 p.m., with parish prayers at 6 p.m., today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Ambrose Church with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop serving as celebrant.

Burial will be in St. Ambrose Cemetery.
