WICKLIFFE, Ky. -- Colie Chandler Sullivan, 76, died at 12:04 p.m. April 11, 2012, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.

Born Sept. 9, 1935, in Wickliffe, to the late Eurbin R. "Sorghum" and Sarah Lou "Johnny" Stovall Sullivan, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Wickliffe Lodge No. 625 and a Mason for 51 years. He was a contractor for Westvaco from 1967 until 2011. He was the owner/operator of Sullivan Logging and Trucking and a member of Mighty Rivers Regional Worship Center in Cairo, Ill. He was appointed to the Wickliffe City Council in 2005 to fill an unexpired term and was elected to another two full terms until he resigned due to poor health in 2010.

On Oct. 16, 1976, he married Linda Kay Francis who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: four daughters and a son-in-law, Jana Sullivan of Wickliffe, Laura Jo Sullivan of Thebes, Ill., Sara Beth Spaulding of Villa Ridge, Ill., and Teresa and Rex Wilburn of Pulaski, Ill.; two sisters, Eurbaleen Davenport of Kevil and Charlotte Fraser of Wickliffe; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled after 5 p.m., with Masonic Rites at 7:30 p.m., today at the Milner and Orr Funeral Home in Wickliffe where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Burial will follow in the Wickliffe City Cemetery.
