CAPE GIRARDEAU - Two persons suspected of passing counterfeit $20 bills at Sikeston businesses entered guilty pleas in federal court.

Darius Antoine Lankford, 29, of Huntsville, Ala., pled guilty to four

felony counts of passing counterfeit currency; and Terry D. Hester Jr., 28, of Poplar Bluff pled guilty to five felony counts of passing counterfeit currency.

On Oct. 5, 2011, Hester passed 20 counterfeit $20 Federal Reserve Notes at the Champs Store in the West Park Mall at Cape Girardeau. Five purchases were made using the counterfeit currency. Later, on Oct. 5, Hester and Lankford passed $100 in counterfeit currency, consisting of five counterfeit $20 Federal Reserve Notes at the Goody's store in Sikeston.
