Mary Lou Kinder
ESSEX -- Mary Lou Kinder, 83, died April 21, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born May 29, 1928, in Advance, to the late Eugene and Mary Cato Walker, she was a former employee of Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter for 27 years and affiliated with the St. Joe General Baptist Church. She was a member of the Dexter Eastern Star, Ladies Auxiliary and Dexter Elks Lodge.
On Sept. 28, 1946, at Piggott, Ark., she married Earl Joseph Kinder who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Joe Walker, Truman Walker, Wilburn Walker, Cloyd Walker and Harold Walker, and three sisters, Jessie Proffer, Wanda Bedwell and Georgie Cooper.
Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Teresa Kinder of Kennett and Randy and Peggy Kinder and Steven and Joyce Kinder of Dexter; one daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Brent Burleson of Essex; and seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a special friend, Ron Smith.
Services were conducted today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Burial followed in the Triplett Cemetery.
