SIKESTON -- Mary Alma Corlew Nicholas, age 102, of Sikeston, died Saturday, April 21, 2012, at her home.

She was born Jan. 23, 1910, in Essex, to the late Franklin and Susan Wamble Corlew, and was a member of the Sikeston First Church of the Nazarene. She worked for the International Shoe Company and Sikeston Public Schools Matthews cafeteria until her retirement.

On June 29, 1929, she married Clyde Nicholas, who preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 1967.

She is survived by: one daughter, Jan Miller of Sikeston; one son-in-law, Charles Campbell of Sikeston; four grandchildren, Becky Campbell (Andy) Reid of Jonesboro, Ark., Scott (Belinda) Campbell of Sikeston, Kerri Miller Saylor of Cape Girardeau and Darin (Melinda) Miller of Springfield. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Campbell, one son-in-law, Dennis Miller, and four brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2012, until time of funeral services at 1 p.m. at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Bryan Ayers, pastor of the Sikeston First Church of the Nazarene, officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Scott Campbell, Andy Reid, Benjamin Runnels, Nicholas Runnels, Darin Miller, Jared Saylor and Charles Campbell.
