Neil Crader
COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. -- Donald Neil Crader, 84, formerly of Germantown, died May 18, 2012.
Born in 1927, in Oran, to the late Dr. Earl and Luda Dillingham Crader, he lived most of his childhood in Diehlstadt, Mo., and graduated from Diehlstadt High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He attended the University of Wyoming and Southeast Missouri State College where he earned his bachelor's degree in science of education. He received his master's degree in education from Memphis State College. He was an educator at Sherwood High School for 30 years, president of the Memphis Education Association from 1968-1969 and was a charter member of the Memphis Area Teachers Credit Union.
Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy Crader; a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Marsha Crader; a brother, Dwight Crader of Sikeston, Mo.; and two children and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Niles Crader.
Services were conducted Monday at the Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
