Rodney Keeton
EAST PRAIRIE -- Rodney Houstin Keeton, 67, died at 11:16 a.m. May 22, 2012, at the University of Arkansas Medical Center in Little Rock, Ark.
Born July 22, 1944, in St. Louis, to the late Charles Firest and Pauline Parker Keeton, he lived most of his life in East Prairie. He was a retired millwright and a member of the Local 1076 and Millwright's Local 1544..
On Aug. 25, 1963, he married Carolyn Sue Turley, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Kathy Keeton of Tallahassee, Fla.; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Patsy and David Markovich of Foristell and Linda and Richard Byrns of Ruskin, Fla.
He was preceded in death by one son, William Houstin "Billy" Keeton.
Visitation is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday with George White officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: James Whybark, Jerry Redfering, Mike Wright, Carl Moore, Doug Zilafro and Red Ethridge.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Byassee, Johnnie Byassee, Bill Jones, Bob Thurmond, Merl Ray, Bryan Jones, V. Fodge, Grady Williford, Hunter Jones, Wylie Allred, Sam Rakestraw, Corey Linhart and Larry "Chucky" Turley.
