BENTON -- Maxine Stabbs, 74, died June 16, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 29, 1938 in Charleston, to the late Leo F. and Seena L. Chandler Hale. She worked as a caregiver and was of the Baptist belief.
On July 14, 1956, she married Lawrence A. Stabbs, and he preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.
Survivors include: three sons, Lawrence Stabbs Jr. of Hermitage Tenn., John Franklin Stabbs of Benton and Bruce Stabbs of Dexter; a brother, Morris Hale of Benton; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Unity Baptist Cemetery near Benton, with the Rev Dennis Lowe officiating.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton is in charge of arrangements.
