PORTAGEVILLE -- Edward E. "Ed" Patterson, 71, died July 30, 2012, at his home.
Born July 21, 1941, in Caruthersville, to the late Edward Lee and Margaret Francis Johnston Patterson, he had been a baseball coach for many years. He retired from Noranda Aluminum and was a member of the Bootheel Rabbit Hunters Association.
On April 1, 1961, in Caruthersville, he married Brenda Doza who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons and a daughter-in-law, Darry Patterson and Trent and Yvonne Patterson of Portageville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Kris Underwood of Nesbit, Miss., and Lisa Marie and Britt McClenden of Portageville; and 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Church of God with the Rev. Bob Kespelher officiating.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery with the DeLisle Funeral Home of Portageville in charge of arrangements.
