SIKESTON -- The Sikeston Library Board will soon have pictures of renovations planned for the Library's basement along with the anticipated cost -- and a plan to raise money for the project.

Greg Colwick, president of the Library Board, provided an update on expansion plans for the Library during the City Council's special briefing session Monday.

With the Library having enjoyed an "overwhelming response" to children's programs such as the Summer Reading Program, they need more room, Colwick explained.

"We've got so many kids coming in now," he said.
