SIKESTON -- As schools start back up for the new year, communities are reminded to heed the big, yellow school buses returning to the roadways.
Certified school bus driver's trainer Aquilla Blissett said motorists need take time to observe school buses closely.
"Most people see a bus, but they don't take it to heart they need to be safe about their driving," Blissett said. "It is very important because they don't know if there are kids on the bus or not so they need to be very cautious all the time."
Blissett has driven a bus for Scott County Central Schools in rural Sikeston for the last 13 years.
