Dorothy Branch

NEW MADRID -- Dorothy Ann Guest Branch, 58, died Aug. 18, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Oct. 3, 1953, in Chatfield, Ark., to the late Otis and Rosie Guest, she attended school in Hughes, Ark., before moving to West Memphis, Ark. She later moved to New Madrid where she was employed with Plasteen Company and later worked for Larry and Heidi Williams. She was a member of Zion Rock Baptist Church in Portageville.

On March 11, 1985, in New Madrid, she married Walter L. Branch who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: six sons and four daughters-in-law, Gregory Davis of New Madrid, Robert and Corrine Hester of Sikeston, Theodis Hester of Portageville, Paul and Sherrie Hester of Howardville , Vaughn and Elsie Sheppard of Marston and Donnell and Carolyn Sheppard of Lilbourn; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Theresa Branch of New Madrid, Zelma and Archie Winford Jr. of Howardville, Velma and Johnny Treadwell of Marston and Temple and Devon Fountain of Fulton, Ky.; one granddaughter whom she raised, Chelsey Moon of the home; four sisters, Kathleen Adams of Poplar Bluff, Earnstine Guest and Shirley Robinson of New Madrid and Lue Ann Spence of Sikeston; one brother, Alex Freeman of New Madrid; and 43 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid.

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
