EAST PRAIRIE -- Albert Moore, 83, died at 8:20 p.m. Sept. 25, 2012, at his home.
Born Sept. 6, 192,9 in Hornsby, Tenn., to the late James Walter and Caldonia "Callie" Wilson Moore, he lived most of his life in Mississippi County where he was a retired farmer and a member of the St. James General Baptist Church in East Prairie. On May 6, 1953, he married Elfreda Black who preceded him in death on April 25, 2002.
He was also preceded in death by five brothers, Maderson Moore, James Moore, Virgil Moore, Anderson Moore and Alfred Moore; and two sisters, Mattie Williams and Mamie Hendrix preceded Albert in death.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Vicki Moore of East Prairie; one daughter and son-in-law, Alice and Terry McLain of East Prairie; one sister, Ressie Hendrix of East Prairie; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday with David Dowdy officiating. Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Carl Moore, Lester Moore, Gary Moore, Ray Hendrix, Clayton Moore, Winston Moore and Austin Moore.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jared Parker, Glen Williams, Travis Moore and Rusty Baker.
