SIKESTON -- Almeter Marshall, 84, died Sept. 25, 2012, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
Born April 8, 1928, in Earle, Ark., to the late Mioni White and Pernella Mosley, she was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Sikeston where she served on the Mothers' Board.
On Dec. 12, 1944, she married Edgar Lee Marshall Sr. who survives.
In addition to her husband she is survived by: six sons and five daughters-in-law, Edgar Lee and Pearlean Marshall Jr., Henry Lee Marshall and Matthew Lee and Shirley Marshall of Sikeston, Richard Lee and Helen Marshall of Kerrville, Texas, Leroy and Joyce Marshall of Alta Loma, Calif., and Monroe and Regina Marshall of Belleville, Ill.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lessie Mae and Joe Barnett of Memphis, Tenn., and Treasa and Bob Hunter of Mansfield, Ohio; two sisters, Dorothy Mae Davis and Sarah Echols of Milwaukee; and 50 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until time of services at noon Saturday at the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Sikeston with the Rev. L.J. Nabors, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston with the Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston in charge of arrangements.
