David Dial

DEXTER -- David Bruce Dial, 59, formerly of Granite City, Ill., died Oct. 4, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born May 18, 1953, in Stoddard County, to Anna Ruth Scroggins Dial of Dexter and the late John D. Dial, he had moved from Granite City to Dexter three years ago.

In addition to his mother, survivors include: one brother, James Dial of Granite City; one sister, Ruth Byrum of Granite City; and a special friend, Beverly Harris of Dexter.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter with Darrell Penberthy of Dexter officiating.

Burial followed in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
