Shirley Barger

EAST PRAIRIE -- Shirley Ann Barger, 77, died at 6:35 p.m. Nov. 2, 2012, in the East Prairie Nursing Center.

Born Oct. 22, 1935, in New Madrid County, to the late LeRoy and Ethelyne Mista Haynes Bisher, she lived most of her life in Mississippi County.

In October 1958, she married John Henry Bolden who preceded her in death Aug. 14, 1964. On Feb. 18, 1983, she married Homer Barger who preceded her in death Oct. 31, 1997.

She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Mark Steven Wheelis, and two sisters and one brother.

She is survived by: two daughters and one son-in-law, Loretta and John Fiegler of Wheeling, Ill., and Betty Bolden of East Prairie; one brother, Bryan "Bud" Bisher of East Prairie; two sisters, Maxine Haney of East Prairie and Phyllis Bonner of Abilene, Texas; and two grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Services were conducted today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie with Mike Johnson officiating.

Burial followed in the Dogwood Cemetery.
