Lawrence Duley
POPLAR BLUFF -- Lawrence Duley, 85, formerly of Dexter, died Dec. 9, 2012, at The Manor in Poplar Bluff.
Born April 27, 1927, at Risco, son of the late Archie and Lucinda Blevins Duley, he attended the Midland Church at Poplar Bluff, was a retired carpenter and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
On Jan. 22, 1945, at Dexter, he married Marian Loper who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons, Daniel Duley of Owosso, Mich., Martin Duley of Poplar Bluff and David Duley of Dexter; one daughter, Yvonne Hutchison of Mt. Rose, Mich.; and 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded by four brothers, Ray Duley, Merrell Duley, Melvin Duley and Leo Duley, and three sisters, Genevie Bullock, Gwendolyn Duley and Nathelene Duffey.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Rick White officiating.
Burial will follow in the Sadler Chapel Cemetery.
