SIKESTON -- Nicholas DeShaun Gilbert 32, died Dec. 16, 2012, as the result of a gunshot wound in Cape Girardeau. Born Feb. 10, 1980, in Stuttgart, Ark., son of Kevin Dolphin of Allport, Ark., and Charlie King of Atlanta, he attended Sikeston Senior High School and Lincoln College of Technology in Marietta, Ga., and was currently employed at Oldcastle Manufacturing in Sikeston. SIKESTON -- Nicholas DeShaun Gilbert 32, died Dec. 16, 2012, as the result of a gunshot wound in Cape Girardeau.

Born Feb. 10, 1980, in Stuttgart, Ark., son of Kevin Dolphin of Allport, Ark., and Charlie King of Atlanta, he attended Sikeston Senior High School and Lincoln College of Technology in Marietta, Ga., and was currently employed at Oldcastle Manufacturing in Sikeston. He was a member of the Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston.

In addition to his parents, survivors include: three sons, Marlon Davis, Nicholas Gilbert Jr. and Nic' Kevion Gilbert of Sikeston; three daughters, Nakeebia Davis, Chermesha Gilbert and Deshuna Davis of Sikeston; his paternal grandmother, Rutherlee Dolphin of Allport; four brothers, Kelvin King of Sikeston and Marco Raynor, Corbin Noble and J.R. Dolphin of Allport; one sister, Natishia Reed of Allport; and his fiancee, Crystal Nicole Hart of Sikeston.

Visitation is scheduled from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the West End Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston with the Rev. Henry Holloway of St. Louis officiating.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Garden Cemetery at Sikeston.

The Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
