BENTON -- Several Southeast Missouri communities are gearing up for election contests on April 2. Filing closed at 5 p.m. Tuesday in most area communities for those seeking to be included on the ballots in the upcoming general municipal election.
SCOTT COUNTY
None of the candidates in Chaffee's four wards are opposed for office. Incumbent board members filed are Ward 1's Darlene Crocker, Ward 2's Jerry Childers and Ward 3's Ryan Pennington. Eric Seyer is the sole candidate for the post of Ward 4 board member.
