SIKESTON -- Hazelle Penney Wilson, 96, of Sikeston died Feb. 9, 2013, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
Born Dec. 10, 1916, in Sikeston, to the late Harry C. and Hazel Penney Young, she was a homemaker and member of the First United Methodist Church of Sikeston. She was a 50-year member of the Kingshighway Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of United Methodist Women.
On Jan. 31, 1938, in Sikeston, she married John L. Wilson, who preceded her in death on May 7, 2004.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, John L. and Jan Wilson Jr. of Sikeston; one daughter, Penney K. Limbach of Sikeston; four grandchildren, Matt and Jennifer King of Jasper, Ala., Linda Douglas of Sikeston, Julie and Dr. Miles Reece of Sikeston and John L. "Trey" and Ashley Wilson III of Sikeston. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren; and one niece, Carolyn K. Chambers of Sikeston.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one granddaughter, Machelle Williams.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13 at the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston with the Rev. Geoff Posegate, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Rick Williams, Coleman Williams, Matthew King, Trey Wilson, Ben Alcorn and J.J. Steward.
Nunnelee Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
