Genevieve Menz

BENTON -- Genevieve E. Menz, 90, died Feb. 13, 2013.

Born Feb. 13, 1923, in Oran, to the late Marion Sylvester and Edith Winchester Stuckey, she was the owner/operator of Menz Grocery Store and a member of Unity Baptist Church in Benton.

On Sept. 7, 1940, in Benton, she married Paul Phillip Menz Sr. who preceded her in death Dec. 1, 1988.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Danny Ray Menz, and two brothers, four sisters and a great-grandchild.

Survivors include: two sons, Billie D. Mansell of Cape Girardeau and Paul P. Menz Jr. of Denver; two daughters-in-law, Earline Lowes of Benton and Diane Menz of Oran; and 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. today at the Unity Baptist Church. Visitation will continue from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating.

Burial will follow in Unity Baptist Cemetery.
