Boots Holt

BLODGETT - Virgie "Boots" Yancy Holt, 80, died Feb. 26, 2013, at the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.

Born May 24, 1932, in Essex, to the late Daniel and Pearl Hedger Thurman, she was a homemaker.

On June 12, 1963, she married Oral Delano Yancy, who preceded her in death on April 12, 1983.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, three sisters, and one grandson.

Survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Keith Yancy of Blodgett, James and Barb Yancy of Matthews and John and Shonnie Yancy of Fort Pierce, Fla.; one daughter and son-in-law, Janeene and Thomas Cunningham of Chaffee; four sisters, Geraline Lawson and Peggy Hughes of Sikeston, Jeanice Brown and Dannie Thurman of Paragould, Ark; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.
