SIKESTON -- Jerry Masterson, 82, died March 6, 2013, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Dec. 24, 1930, in Sikeston, son of the late Roy and Arista Jenkins Masterson, he was a member of Miner Baptist Church and had been a civil engineer for the Missouri Department of Transportation for 42 years before retiring.

On Jan. 13, 1950, he married Lois Ann Maynard who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jerie Yant of Sikeston, Julie and Russell Franklin of Eads, Tenn., and Kay and Doug Reynolds of Tupelo, Miss.; two granddaughters, Kristi Hensley and Addie Reynolds; and two great-grandchildren, Whitney Hensley and Wyatt Hensley.

In addition to his parents, two brothers, Jackie Masterson and John Masterson, and one sister, Evelyn Warren, also preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Jim Matthews, pastor of Cape County Cowboy Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery at Morley.
