St. Francis Xavier students know how to shake, rattle and draw

SIKESTON -- Youngsters at St. Francis Xavier Catholic School were eager to participate in this year's Missouri's "Great Central U.S. ShakeOut" poster contest. After all, last year, two of their classmates were selected as statewide winners.

This year all the third, fourth and fifth graders created posters to encourage the earthquake safety lessons -- drop, cover and hold on tight. Their teachers picked a top poster from each grade to submit to state officials.

"They were so excited to submit posters this year," said Debra Pollock, the school's principal.
