SIKESTON -- Dorothy J. Young, 80, died March 18, 2013, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born Dec. 28, 1932, in Lamar, Ark., daughter of the late Henry and Helena Pearson Waldo, she had worked as an operator for AT&T before retiring.
She married Winston Young who preceded her in death Jan. 15, 2010.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Cathy Greer, and one brother and two sisters.
Survivors include: one son, Bobby Young of Sikeston; one sister, Edna Fording of Sikeston; and four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie. The Rev. Amos Johnson will officiate.
The Ponder Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
