SIKESTON -- Already having to cancel their first two games on the schedule, wet field conditions stole what would have been Sikeston's season opener Tuesday in Sikeston.
Sikeston's game against Notre Dame was postponed and will be made up on April 23.
Sikeston was scheduled to play both Kirksville and Notre Dame this past Saturday, but the state title run by the Sikeston basketball team pushed those games aside.
Sikeston's next game will be Saturday during a double-header when they host both Jackson and Twin Rivers. Sikeston will play Jackson at 11 a.m. and Twin Rivers at 4 p.m.
