PARMA -- Norman Matthew Ludwig, son of the late Elmer C. and Maudie Schrader Ludwig, was born in Risco on July 5, 1942, and passed away at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau on March 19, 2013, at the age of 70 years, 8 months and 14 days.
Mr. Ludwig had lived all of his life in Risco and Parma. He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Malden. He had retired from Noranda Aluminum.
On April 5, 1963, in Parma, he married Marilyn Jeanette Rowland.
Surviving are: his wife, Marilyn J. Ludwig of Parma; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Todd and Susan Ludwig of Parma and Shaun and Heather Ludwig of Risco; six grandchildren, Crystal Earnheart, Shanna Moody, Morgan Ludwig, Sierrea Ludwig, Hayden Ludwig and Adam Ludwig; two great-grandchildren, Eli Earnheart and Macey Moody; two brothers, Bob Ludwig of St. Louis and Arlin Ludwig of Farmington; three sisters, Thelma Niehaus of Dexter, Norma Macon of Flouilla, Ga., and Georgianna Noubarian of St. Louis. Other family and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by one son, Timothy A. Ludwig, and three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2013, in the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Parma.
Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Parma in charge of arrangements.
