DEXTER -- Lucille White, 99, formerly of Marston, died March 19, 2013, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter.
Born April 16, 1913, in Shurm, Ark., daughter of the late William Campbell Starr and Clara Rebecca McCarroll Starr, she was a homemaker. A member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter, she had been very active in the Marston Methodist Church, the Marston Senior Citizens Center and various civic organizations in Marston.
On Oct. 29, 1932, in Powhatan, Ark., she married William Eugene White who preceded her in death March 4, 1975.
She was also preceded in death by one son, William Edward White, one daughter, Edna Kathryn White, four brothers, Claude Starr, Elmo Starr, John Starr and Millard Starr, and one sister, Virginia Rickman.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, William Thomas and Cindy White of Poplar Bluff; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ruth and Bill Boone of Dexter; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Howard Kirby officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mounds Park Cemetery at New Madrid.
