DEXTER -- The Sikeston tennis team lost 8-1 to Dexter on the road.
Their one win came in doubles play when Christian Rehder and Wade Gadberry teamed for a 9-7 win over Dexter's Noah Kronk and Joseph Greer.
"As a team, the outcome was not good for us today against a good Dexter team," Sikeston tennis coach Russ Dial said. "From 1-6 in their lineup, they're the deepest team we've played thus far. The only bright spot for us today was our No. 2 doubles match. Gadberry and Rehder played well together."
Sikeston's next scheduled match is Monday when they host Poplar Bluff at 4 p.m.
