Bike tour will offer history to bicyclists

SIKESTON - Rodney McConnell knows about creating a great bike tour. What he is learning it is it is much harder to promote it.

The Sikeston resident has put together the four-state, seven-day bicycle tour, Ride the Fault Line, scheduled for June 23 - 29. That is, if he can get the word out about it to enough people.

Right now McConnell says about 100 riders have signed up. Ideally, he would like the ride in its inaugural year to have at least 300 participants.
