SIKESTON -- Since 1995 the Sikeston R-6 Honor Wall and Hall of Fame have recognized those who've made lasting impressions in the district -- and this year is no exception.

The Honor Wall recognizes individuals -- usually a former teacher, administrator or school board member -- for their service to the school district. The Hall of Fame, on the other hand, honors individuals and teams that have made outstanding and lasting contributions in the field of athletics or school activities. Sikeston High School students cannot be nominated until five years after their graduation.

As of Wednesday, two nominations have been submitted so far this year, according to central office personnel.
