SIKESTON -- Representatives of the firm hired to help the city find a new city manager will meet with city officials next week to begin the process which will take until mid-October to complete.
On July 1, the Council approved a contract with Strategic Governmental Resources for the city manager candidate search and candidate vetting process.
The cost of the services is not to exceed $27,000.
"They will be in town July 18-19," said Karen Bailey, human resources officer for the city, who is coordinating the project. "They want to talk to each council member to find out their expectations for city manager."
