CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Power is expected to be restored to the central campus of Southeast Missouri State University around 1 p.m. July 24.

The outage was caused by an issue with a transformer and has disrupted power this morning to the following buildings: Art, Serena, Carnahan, Crisp, Cheney, GS1 and Parker. Facilities Management and an electrical contractor are currently installing a temporary transformer to supply power to these buildings.

Summer classes in buildings affected by the outage will be back in session and employees working in these locations should report to work at 1 p.m. today.
