SIKESTON -- Sikeston R-6 School District is meeting the state's education standards.
Chuck Mayes, R-6 chief academic officer/curriculum and professional development, briefed the school board Tuesday on the district's final Annual Performance Report, which is issued by the state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and provides a snapshot of a school district's performance.
Last month the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education released the first set of annual performance reports for Missouri schools based on the state's newly revised accountability system.
