Sikeston hires new city manager

SIKESTON -- Sikeston's new city manager has been named.

A city new release at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday announced Jonathan M. Douglass has been hired for the position of city manager.

Douglass was previously employed by the city of Lawrence, Kan., where he was city clerk and assistant city manager.

His first day on the job will be Dec. 2.
