PREP ROUNDUP: Bravettes top Sikeston in overtime, Risco downs Campbell
SIKESTON -- Behind Mikaela Blissett's 17 points, the Scott County Central Bravettes pulled out an overtime win over the visiting Sikeston Lady Bulldogs Tuesday night, 62-56.
Blissett shot 7 of 14 from the field and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Bravettes, who outscored the Lady Bulldogs 15-9 in overtime after tying 47-all at the end of regulation. Johniqua Fort added 13 points and eight rebounds.
Sikeston was led by Erica Peet's 17 points. Ariana Beard added 11 before fouling out.

MALDEN -- Stephanie Worth scored 18 points as the Kelly Lady Hawks won their first game of the year, 68-23, over Malden on the road.
Kelly's Tessa Johnson added 12 points while Morgan LeDure chipped in 11 as the Lady Hawks raced out to a 23-7 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.
Kelly (1-0) will host the Chaffee Lady Devils on Thursday for their next game.

BERNIE -- After opening the Bernie Invitational Tournament earlier this week with a loss the Risco Tigers got back on track Tuesday with a 60-44 over Campbell in the consolation bracket semifinals.
The Tigers jumped out to a 17-9 lead after the first quarter before going into the half with a six-point advantage. They pushed ahead by eight points entering the final quarter, where they outscored the Camels 13-5 to hold on for the win.
Leading the way was Jordon Pavy with a game-high 23 points, including four of the Tiger' five 3-pointers on the night. Brandon Bixler and Josh Earnheart added 17 and 10 points to the cause respectively.
Risco will play the winner of Puxico/Piggott, Ark., for the consolation championship Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at Bernie High School.

Oran Invitational Tournament
Advance 93, Malden 68
ORAN -- Led by a 28-points effort from Lane Below, the fifth-seeded Advance Hornets took down fourth-seeded Malden 93-68 to advance to the Oran Invitational Tournament semifinals.
The Hornets jumped ahead 22-16 after the first quarter and led 43-29 at the half. Malden closed the gap to nine points entering the fourth, but were outscored 26-16 to close out the game 26-16 to hold on for the win.
Below scored 24 of his 28 points in the first half alone with Austin Miller hitting three 3-pointers on his way to 21-points for the Hornets.
For the Green Wave, Cortex Dobbins had a game-high 35 points.
Advance will play top-seeded Oran Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the tournament semifinals.

In the Oran Invitational Tournament consolation bracket the Kelly Hawks defeated Richland 72-33 on Tuesday.
Kelly jumped out to a 27-6 lead entering the second quarter and extended their lead to 49-18 at halftime.
Ty Householder led the way for Kelly with 17 points while Josh Roberts pitched in 15.
For Richland Josh Thorton had a game-high 18 points.
Kelly will play the winner of Bell City/Malden in the consolation finals Friday at 5 p.m.

DEXTER -- The Sikeston seventh grade basketball team earned a 49-34 win over Dexter Tuesday on the road.
Kevin Jones scored a game-high 22 points while Trey Jenkins added 12 to hand Dexter (13-1) their first loss of the season.
The Bulldogs (4-0) will host the Sikeston Invitational Tournament starting today at 5 p.m. with Poplar Bluff and Jackson. Sikeston will follow by playing Cape Central in the four-team tournament which will conclude on Thursday.
Led by 19 points from Fred Thatch, the Sikeston eighth grade team also defeated Dexter 54-23. Austin Branch chipped in nine points and JeQuan Ray scored eight.
