SIKESTON -- The Sikeston R-6 School District received a clean audit report for the 2012-2013 school year Tuesday during its Board of Education meeting.

Michael A. Radake, certified public accountant with Van de Ven LLC of Cape Girardeau, presented the audit for the 2012-2013 school year.

"There were no problems, no issues, no findings and no issues with internal control," Radake told the Board. "You have a very clean audit this year."

In total, net assets were $18.6 million, Radake said.

"It's a good report this year, unqualified opinion," Radake said. "Your fund balances have increased. I think you've done a good job of controlling costs; you're taking into account whatever issues are facing you and making changes to make things work."
