BENTON -- A Sikeston man is in custody for burglary, sexual misconduct, assault and resisting arrest.
Ryan Andrew Tropf, 17, was arrested by Scott County deputies at approximately 6:25 p.m. Wednesday at a residence in Vanduser, according to a news release from Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter. Deputies were dispatched to the residence after complainants reported that a man was exposing himself.
Witnesses reported that Tropf had dropped his trousers while standing outside the residence, exposing himself to occupants inside. He then forced his way into the residence, assaulting a female occupant. A male witness at the residence pushed Tropf outside, and Tropf then ran away.
Scott County deputies responded to the residence and found Tropf hiding underneath a nearby abandoned mobile home trailer. Tropf refused to comply with the directives of the deputies, and a deputy deployed and used his taser at which time Tropf became compliant. Tropf was arrested and transported to the Scott County Jail.
Tropf is charged with the class B felony of Burglary in the first degree, the class D felony of resisting arrest, the class B misdemeanor of sexual misconduct and the class C misdemeanor of Assault in the Third Degree.
Bond has been set by the court at $5,000 cash or surety.
