Sunday singing

I was very disappointed that the Sikeston Choir's Christmas program was held on Sunday evening this year. Whatever happened to schools working around church nights for their events? I hope this don't happen anymore.

Stamp of disapproval

I recently moved here from Kansas. I just want to say, I can drive back to Kansas and buy a book of stamps quicker than I can get them standing in line at your local post office.

Beauty in eye of beholder

Obviously there are a lot of young people in a small group that are calling Christmas sweaters ugly. I have news for you, Christmas sweaters have been around for years. The older generation does not think they are ugly. They bring a smile and brighten all the people. Whoever you are that thinks they are ugly, get a life. Lighten up, Enjoy the season.

Put me on the list

I'd like to speakout about the Miner Board article in the Standard Democrat, the Miner city people cleaning driveways. I'd like to know how to get my name on the list to get my business driveway cleaned out? If they can do it for one person, why can't they do it for everybody?

Lights, camera, action!

My question is, do you need a ticket to attend a Miner board meeting? It seems to me that it would be the best entertainment in town.

Lighting up

I just got done looking at the news and listening to it. My, my, my, that was the sweetest I ever saw, seeing those boys and girls lighting up their marijuana. My, my. It's enough problems we have with young people, let alone letting them do that.
