SIKESTON -- For those who have busy schedules and are limited on time, taking a fitness class at the YMCA can sometimes be difficult. But the YMCA of Southeast Missouri is hoping to remedy that with their new Fitness on Demand system.

Fitness on Demand is a video fitness system that allows YMCA members over a 100 different classes they can take with a touch of a button. The classes range from easy to advanced and members can choose from cardio, strength, cycling, flexibility and dance. The class times range from 12 to 59 minutes and updates will take place monthly.

"This is a way to meet the needs of members and not have to add instructors and classes," said Chris Hodgkiss, community and program engagement director at the YMCA.

The system uses a touch screen and the member can choose the class they would like from a list of 107 classes or they can filter the number down by choosing the category that best suits them.
