Scott City man dies in crash

SCOTT CITY -- A Scott City man was killed after his vehicle overturned into a creek Friday in Scott County.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 3:45 p.m. on county road 321, half a mile south of county road 318, as northbound motorist Ronald D. Adams, 76, of Scott City traveled off the right side of the road and overturned in a creek.
Adams was pronounced dead at the scene by Scott County deputy coroner James Donner at 5:13 p.m. Friday and taken to Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton. Admans' death marked the seventh fatality for the Patrol's Troop E this year.
